         On behalf of the West Haven Youth Hockey League, I would like to welcome all new and returning players to our hockey family.  We are very excited to have you with us for the upcoming 2018-2019 season.  Although our season does not officially start yet, I wanted to reach out to you about an amazing fundraising opportunity that is of no cost to you, just a little of your time.  
 

         Our Tuition Reduction Program will be available to you beginning May 1st -July 31st, this program allows you to obtain sponsorship from outside businesses (not only West Haven) to help reduce the cost of your tuition.   We ran this program for the first time last year and it was very successful, and we are very eager to do this again.  This is a great opportunity for us to get our name out there and help our local businesses advertise.  Be sure to check out our sponsorship page on the website to see who has helped supported us this past season.  Whatever business you decide to go to, remember to be respectful and thank them for supporting West Haven Youth Hockey.
 

         Attached please find all the details needed for the Tuition Reduction Program.  It is very important that you make sure that your child's name is on ALL sponsorship forms so we can apply the credit appropriately to your tuition.  Also, please note that if you are on a payment plan you can still make your timely payments, in case your sponsor payments have not been received.  Any money this is received over will be credited to you at the Start of the 2018-2019 season.  
 

         I know fundraising is usually the last thing on everyone's mind due to the craziness of every day life, but do realize that all of this money raised goes back to our players and help defray costs.  Last year alone with the fundraising money we were able to:

• Free Skills & Drills and Specialty Clinics on Mondays and Fridays
• Off-ice training​​
• Uniform package discounts
• Opening Day Celebration
• Year-End Banquet (returning this season)
• Most importantly keeping our tuition costs the lowest in the State​​

So please keep this in mind when we host our next fundraising event.  It is also a great way to bond with your teammates!
